Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mizuki Kubo, operating under the trade name “Mexenixi” (the “Operator”), handles information in Sort & Done! (the “App”).
1. Privacy-first design
The App generally processes photos, images, PDFs, scans, supported documents, OCR results, and projects on the user’s device. The App does not automatically upload project content to a server operated by the Operator and does not use advertising trackers, third-party advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs.
2. Information processed on the device
At the user’s direction, the App processes selected photos and images, scanned documents, files, PDFs, supported document content, OCR text, page order, editing settings, project names, folder information, export settings, and app preferences. This information is used to provide the App’s features, preserve work, create exports, support recovery, and remember settings.
DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and other supported documents are not converted for Office compatibility. Their content is reorganized on the device into the App’s own pages, prioritizing readability and order. Exact reproduction of layout, formatting, pagination, shapes, equations, or charts is not guaranteed. RTF and RTFD are not supported.
3. Storage and retention
Projects and working data are generally stored in the App’s Application Support container. Some preferences are stored in UserDefaults. Temporary storage may be used for exports, sharing, AI handoff packages, and document extraction. Temporary files are removed after processing when practical or by the operating system, but they may remain for a time after an interruption or abnormal termination.
The App does not delete saved projects merely because time has passed. Data may remain on the device until the user deletes it or removes the App. Ordinary deletion moves pages to the Deleted area. After “Delete Permanently,” restoration may still be possible while an in-memory undo state containing the prior project state remains available. Restoration is no longer possible after that history is discarded.
4. Permissions
The App requests access to the photo library or camera only when the user uses a relevant feature. Access to selected photos, files, scanned documents, and save destinations is used for user-initiated import, scanning, saving, or export. Permissions can be changed in the device settings.
5. OCR and document processing
OCR is performed on the device using operating-system technologies such as Apple Vision. OCR accuracy is not guaranteed. For important documents, users should compare the source material with the generated output.
6. AI handoff files and external services
The App does not connect directly to an external AI service. Information leaves the App only when the user creates an AI handoff file and selects a destination in the system share sheet. An AI handoff file may contain selected-page images or OCR text, sorting instructions, a session identifier, page identifiers, and the current order. The App does not record the selected destination.
Before sharing, users should check for personal, confidential, sensitive, or third-party information and obtain any necessary permission or consent. After sharing, storage, use, model training, onward disclosure, and deletion are governed by the selected service’s terms and privacy policy.
7. External transmission and disclosure
The App does not send project content off the device unless the user intentionally starts a system share action, email composition, or another external-app workflow. The Operator does not collect users’ photos, documents, OCR results, or projects through the App.
If a user sends an inquiry email, the Operator receives the information the user chooses to provide, such as the sender’s name, email address, message, and attachments. This information is used to respond to the inquiry, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary records. It is not disclosed to third parties except where required by law.
8. Support purchases
Support purchases are processed through Apple StoreKit. The Operator does not receive Apple Account credentials, full payment-card details, or other payment information managed by Apple. The App checks verified transaction results on the device. Purchases, refunds, and payment processing are also governed by Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
9. Security
The Operator applies reasonable safeguards to inquiry information and any other information the Operator actually receives, including access restriction, purpose limitation, and deletion when no longer needed. Protection of on-device data also depends on the user’s device passcode, operating system, and backup settings.
10. Privacy requests
To request access, correction, restriction, or deletion of personal information held by the Operator, contact the address below. Identity verification may be required. The Operator cannot remotely access, correct, or erase project data that exists only on the user’s device and is not held by the Operator.
11. Children
The App is not directed specifically to children. A minor must obtain any consent required under the laws of the minor’s place of residence before making a support purchase or taking another action that requires consent from a parent or legal representative.
12. International availability
The App is intended for worldwide availability. Users may have mandatory rights under the laws of their place of residence. Support is provided in Japanese and English.
13. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes to features, law, or platform requirements. Material changes will be announced in the App, on the official website, or by another reasonable method.
